Grandmaster Flashh

Joseph Sandler aka Grandmaster Flash is known for his unique scratching and mixing DJ style, that was birth in New York’s block parties. Who is the God Father of hip hop is still being debated today, but most hip hop historians leans towards DJ Grandmaster Flash. Then in 1979, he joined a group of rappers becoming a part of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five and released the hip hop classic, The Message [1982] and the rest is history.

The Polar Prize come with a cash grant of $130,000 cash grant.

“This thing that I did had not existed before, and I am one of many where I come from. It ended up being called hip-hop, taking the drum break from pop, rock, jazz, blues, funk, disco, R&B, and using duplicate copies of records. I would take one section and repeat it over and over again. This self-made music bed served for the break-dancers, and later, for the MC’s.” Said the hip hop pioneer during his acceptance speech.

That’s what’s popping this Wednesday.

I am a wife, mother of three, caseworker, graduate student, PTO President and oh yeah I have a social life AND I am on my weight lost journey. Many of my friends are amazed that I am able to provide a home cook meal at least 6 nights a week. Over the years I have developed my expertise and want to share them with people and hopefully get feedback on how I can improve.
